Fame and Shame
Every fame of today was a typical example of the shame of yesterday. Everyone who'd ever walked and got to the place of fame must have taken the steep steps of shame as a ladder.

*2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.*
_"Forgiveness of sin must precede healing of any sort"_
*Mark 2:5-11 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? √ Sin is at the root of every human destruction and affliction - *Gen. 2:16-17/Eccl. 10:8b/Isa. 59:1-2*
*WHAT THEN IS SIN?*
√ Sin can simply be defined as any thought or action that negates the detects of the scriptures.
Thought or Action? Yes! - *Gen. 6:5/Job 21:27/PSA.94:11/PSA.19:14/Isa. 68:18/PSA. 2:1/Matt. 5:28*
∆ Therefore, sin is what makes one an enemy of God and friend to the devil - *Zech. 3:1-3/Gen.18:19/Jam. 2:23/1 Jn. 5:18/Jam. 4:4*
∆ As such, when an individual or parent(s) lives in some sins with long continuance effects, he/she lays an evil family foundation unknowingly, which brings about negative events/cycles in the family line - *Gen. 2:16 - 17/Gen. 3:1-24/Exo. 34:7*
*DEALING WITH EVIL FAMILY/ANCESTRAL FOUNDATIONS*
√ Foundation is fundamental. It is the bedrock upon which any structure stands; whether a house, marriage, family, church, etc.
√ Since it is fundamental, the scripture recognises and acknowledges the indisputable influence of a believer's foundation - *PSA.11:3 - If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?*
∆ Now, from scriptures, we understand that God is the originator and founder of marriage cum family - *Gen. 2:20 - 25/PSA.68:6*
√ Meaning, God is to be the first out the 'three' persons in marriage - *Eccl. 4:12*
√ When a man and a woman is glued/bond together by God in holy matrimony, a family is born - *Gen. 2:24*
√ But, when the both parents involved in marriage, do not have a common or personal knowledge cum relationship with God, they lay evil foundations for their progenitors/generations.
√ However, understand that the major biblical responsibility bestowed on the parent(s) is to cultivate, communicate and pass down godly characters, morales and virtues on their children by simply exemplifying same - *2 Tim. 2:2/Mal. 2:15/Prov. 22:6/Eph. 6:4*
√ The effects of family or ancestral foundation can not be overemphasized, because whether good or bad family foundation, the effects are trans-generational - *PSA. 112:1-3/Gen.12:1-4/Exo.34:7*
∆ Of course, someone may dare to ask; are we still under the law? No!
However, our Lord Jesus did not also come to break the laws and the prophets but to fulfill them - *Matt. 5:17*

This chapter is particularly referring to the eternal rewards/condemnations to both the saints and the wicked. As such, the good or the bad of a parent would not be passed down on the children and vice versa.
√ *2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 8:1* - Both scriptures are reemphasizing the fact that God does not or will not use our days of ignorance against us now that we have repented and have accepted the Lordship of our Lord Jesus over our lives.
